About The National Rabbit Festival

Advocate

The UK is currently in the midst of a rabbit crisis. More rabbits are being surrendered and abandoned than ever before; rescues are under an enormous amount of pressure and there are no signs of this improving. To change this, we need to advocate for rabbits and change the public perception of them as ‘starter pets’. Our rescues and guest speakers will be helping us advocate throughout the day and we invite attendees to join us on our mission to spread the word.

Educate

Rabbits are a complex prey species with a very specific set of needs including companionship, space, a healthy species-specific diet and a high level of rabbit-savvy vet care. The festival will feature talks from vets and welfare experts and we guarantee that you will leave with lots of new information on how we can best care for our rabbit friends.

Celebrate

The National Rabbit Festival is a day for celebration! Rabbits are an incredible species and we’re very fortunate to be able to share our lives with them. Come along (leave your rabbits at home!) and make new friends who are just as passionate about rabbits as you are and are happy to talk about them all day long.
